Blended Learning in TVET

Dear Forum Members, 

Blended learning is a methodology that “blends” traditional classroom teaching with online resources and learning materials for an enhanced teaching-learning experience. 

There are a variety of online resources used in blending learning such as videos, animations, podcasts, new media, etc. It also evolves the role of a teacher or trainer to that of a facilitator. 
It will be good to hear from forum members if they have embraced blended learning in their countries and what their experience has been. 

Thank you for a very topical discussion in times of COVID-19, where most countries are embracing ICT in TVET and taking measures to bring learning online. We hope for continued support from our development partners to ensure that the momentum continues. 

Thank you Ephraim for sharing the experiences in Kenya; it is indeed true that resources and systems are still needed to adequately prepare trainers for blended learning approaches.
