PRIVATE SECTOR ENGAGEMENT

OVERVIEW

Private Sector Engagement (PSE) in skills development is carried out through having a presence within a formal structure such as a business or employer association in a specific country. The value-add of the private sector engagement component includes policy input, technical support, facilitation of partnerships and collaboration, and information sharing. This is aimed at enhancing collaboration between TVETs and employers in the private sector.

Private Sector Engagement (PSE) is carried out across the five regions of the African continent: Northern Africa, Western Africa, Central Africa, Eastern Africa and Southern Africa. Regional Coordinators are the means through which support is provided in these regions. Regional Coordinators (RCs) have a presence in each region, within a formal structure such as a business or employer association in a specific country.
